And it’s probably going to be unanimous.

As lower courts smack down lawsuit after lawsuit from the Trump team, I’ve been seeing Trump supporters coalesce around a new idea: any minute now, the Supreme Court will ride in to save the day.

Never mind SCOTUS’s terse, nearly immediate rejection on Tuesday of the attempt to block the certification of Biden’s win in Pennsylvania.

I’ve written previously about why we’re not going to see a 5–4 Supreme Court decision that hands the election to Trump. But there’s a new issue at play: Texas has filed a lawsuit attempting to toss the election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and…

There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re allowed to come home.

Hey friend,

Is there some small part of you, in the most secret part of your heart, that’s starting to doubt that Q is who he says he is? That the stories you’ve been hearing about the elite cabal and their satanic rituals are really true?

It’s okay. You don’t have to say it out loud. Not until you’re ready.

Did you feel abandoned when Q vanished after the election? Now he’s back, saying it had to be this way. (Why does it always have to be this way?) Will it “have to be this way” again if Biden is…

Boogaloos are ideological heirs of the right-wing militia movement that developed after Ruby Ridge and Waco.

My late father wasn’t in a militia, but he was deeply sympathetic to the movement.

He choked up every time he told me the story of Ruby Ridge.

The feds entrapped Randy Weaver, he said, sending an informant to ask him to sell a sawed-off shotgun that was just barely shorter than the legal limit. Then, when the feds came to arrest Randy, they besieged the house with orders to shoot on sight. They fatally shot the family’s dog. They fatally shot fourteen-year-old Sammy Weaver in the back. They fatally shot Vicki Weaver, who was holding her ten-month-old baby, Elisheba.

The Supreme Court may rule on a number of election questions, but there will be no 5–4 vote to hand the presidency to Donald Trump.

The votes are (mostly) counted. Joe Biden has been declared the winner of the 2020 election. And allegations of rampant fraud are zinging across social media. To hear my Facebook feed tell it, once the evidence has been presented — I keep hearing there is evidence out there somewhere, and Kayleigh McEnany apparently waved around 234 pages of it on Fox News — it will be clear that Donald Trump really won the election. The Supreme Court will ride in to save the day, with Amy Coney Barrett casting the tie-breaking vote.

That’s a fantasy that probably plays well on…

Why has the election been called by the media when some states are still tabulating ballots? That’s actually normal. Let’s talk about why.

In 2016, the media called the election for Donald Trump at 2:30 a.m. ET, in the early morning hours. Hillary Clinton phoned the new president-elect to concede approximately five minutes later.

And yet, weeks afterward, some votes still remained uncounted. It just didn’t matter to anyone, because those votes weren’t going to impact the result of the election. States very often take a couple weeks to certify their results, and the race is always called before the…
